I've recently learned that some of my friends are having trouble sending emails to my me.com address. I was under the impression that both me.com and iCloud.com would work seamlessly together, so I'm a bit confused. Can anyone explain why this might be happening and how I can fix it?

Keep in mind that .mac.com, me.com, and iCloud.com actually refer to the same service pathway, so they should be receiving each other's mails unless there's a glitch.
I've always used my me.com email and it works fine for me. Maybe it’s because I’ve had mine for so long? I used to have a .mac.com email, but I think that one’s not in service anymore.
The issue seems to relate to when the me.com account was created. If your me.com email was set up before Apple switched things to iCloud, it should still be functional. However, newer iCloud accounts don’t have a corresponding me.com email. So, it might be worth checking the age of your account.
Yes, the me.com email definitely still works if it was created early on. If they’re struggling to send emails to you, it might be specific to that email or some other issue on their side.
Just to clarify, me.com and iCloud.com are generally interchangeable, but if it’s not working, there might be an issue with that specific email address your friends are trying to send to.
