Can My Laptop Handle Gaming?

I have a laptop with an Intel Core i5-1035G1 CPU running at 1.00GHz, with 4 cores and 8 logical processors. It has a 475 GB NVMe SSD, 16 GB of dual-channel RAM at 3200MHz, and is equipped with an Intel UHD graphics card along with an NVIDIA MX130 with 2 GB of VRAM. I'm running Windows 10 Home and I'm wondering if there's any way to improve its performance for gaming. Specifically, can I play games like Red Dead Redemption 2 or any other AAA titles?

Unfortunately, your laptop's specs aren't really geared for gaming. You might be able to handle very light games, but anything more intense like Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to be a stretch. You could play some older or less demanding games, though!

Why is that? It looks like you have decent RAM!

The specs don’t really line up for serious gaming. You’d need a better CPU and potentially more RAM for anything beyond casual gaming. Think about upgrading if you're looking for a gaming experience!

You really need a stronger CPU and possibly more RAM to make this work for modern gaming. Right now, it sounds like your laptop is best for casual games rather than big titles. Maybe consider a new machine if gaming is a priority.
