I recently bought a prebuilt PC with an AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U processor that has integrated AMD Radeon Graphics. I'm a bit worried about its gaming performance. Is this setup good enough to play some less demanding AAA games at low settings while maintaining a smooth framerate around 45-60?

1080p gaming won't be feasible; you might have to dial it down to 720p. Even then, the performance could still be lacking.

I believe this setup features a Vega 7 iGPU, which is roughly equivalent to a GT 1030. Not exactly a powerhouse for gaming!

It’s essential to look at benchmarks for this CPU. It’s running on a Radeon Vega 7 iGPU, but since it's a mobile chip, it performs worse than the desktop version, like the 5600G. If you’re in a small form factor build, watch out for thermal throttling. You might want to run benchmarking software like 3DMark to see its actual performance.

Trust me, gaming on integrated laptop GPUs is a serious downgrade. Even today’s integrated APUs can't compete with dedicated laptop GPUs at all. It's a tough situation for serious gaming.

From what I've seen, integrated graphics typically struggle with AAA games. Even the most advanced integrated GPUs in 2025 would still falter. You might get things to run at rock-bottom settings, but don't expect more than 15 FPS. The performance of the Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U is comparable to a really old dedicated card, like the GTX 460, so it’s better suited for older or less demanding games like Minecraft or Roblox. Even Fortnite may be too much for this setup.
