Can the NVIDIA GeForce 3060 Ti Handle 1440p at 180Hz?

I'm thinking about upgrading to a 27'' QHD monitor at 1440p and 180Hz, but I'm not sure if my NVIDIA GeForce 3060 Ti graphics card can handle it. I play a lot of games, especially AAA titles, and I want to know if this upgrade is worth it. Just to note, I'd also have a second monitor running at 1080p and 144Hz—would that setup cause any issues?

I've got the 3060 Ti, and for demanding games like Cyberpunk, you'll need to dial it down to medium settings to maintain above 60 FPS at 1440p.

Unfortunately, I just upgraded from my 3060 Ti to a 5070 Ti. It was a solid card, but not enough for those higher demands anymore.

It really depends on the games you're playing. For most current AAA titles, you might struggle with consistent performance at 180Hz.

It's not just about the GPU; what CPU are you using? With a solid CPU, you might hit over 200 FPS in competitive games like CS or Overwatch 2, but the 3060 Ti might not keep up on newer games at 180Hz.

I have an i7 14700k and 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and I mainly play AAA games. CS is the only competitive game I play, and I really need those extra FPS.

With some tweaking, it could work, but you'll see performance dips. I have an ASUS TUF 3060 Ti with a 1440p 180Hz monitor, and while it still performs well, I get warnings about VRAM usage on some new titles.

I had my 3060 Ti running at 3440x1440p, and while it could manage older games at 150+ FPS, newer ones usually aimed for 60 FPS.

The 3060 Ti can handle most games at 1440p, but pushing for 180 FPS is a bit much. You'll want a high-end GPU for that in modern games, but it should manage stable 1440p at 60 FPS.
