Should I Choose the 59600X or 77800X3D for My AM5 Upgrade?

Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade to an AM5 setup and I've got a couple of options for CPUs. I'm looking at the 59600X, which is currently priced at €193, down from €288, and the 77800X3D, which is on sale for €348 from €500, but I've seen it as low as €319 on other sites. I checked some benchmarks and the FPS differences don't seem huge, but I'm really trying to nail down the best choice. I also need some guidance on which motherboard to choose, since I'm totally confused by the 560 and 580 model numbers and the brand variations. Right now, I'm using an RX6750XT, but I'm planning to upgrade to a 6950XT soon since I found some decent used ones for around €300 on eBay. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

If you're focusing on gaming, definitely go for the 77800X3D. It's better optimized for that. You'll find that the stutter metrics (0.1% and 1% FPS) are much better with it compared to the 59600X, leading to a smoother gameplay experience overall.

Coming from a 5600 non-X, could the stutters be really noticeable? I play on low settings to avoid issues, but I hate any kind of stutter or input lag; that's why I bought a high-speed mouse.

Sounds like you might prefer the 77800X3D, then! Less stutter means better flow while gaming.

Just go big or go home, man! The 77800X3D is really the best gaming CPU out there right now. Sure, there’s a price jump, but the performance is worth it.

You might find that the 9800X3D is overpriced for a mere 15% performance boost. The 77800X3D is still a top contender for gaming without breaking the bank too much yet.

€200 to €300 difference isn’t that significant. Compared to some of the AM4 X3Ds that cost over €400, the 77800X3D is a much better deal for its performance.
