I'm planning to get a Ryzen 5600X soon, and I intend to enable Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO). I'm curious whether the ThermalRight Peerless Assassin 120 SE will be sufficient to keep it cool. Any thoughts?

Definitely! My setup runs perfectly cool with that cooler, and it can actually manage temperatures for even the 5950X and 5900X with PBO on. You'll be just fine with the 5600X.
Is PBO actually considered overclocking? I thought it just undervolted the CPU or something.
Absolutely, the Peerless Assassin 120 SE is more than capable of cooling the 5600X, even when using PBO. It's designed to handle higher performance CPUs without any issues.
Yes, it works great with mine! I've had no problems with cooling at all while using PBO.
Yeah, it's more of a one-click way to boost your CPU's performance without the manual risks of traditional overclocking. It's definitely a safer way to get extra power.
