I'm running into a frustrating problem with my new PC. Ever since I set it up, I haven't been able to open some folders, and I suspect it's because I might not have admin rights. When I try to access a zipped folder located in my Downloads, I get an error message that says, "Access to the Compressed (zipped) Folder C:Users(name)Downloads(file_name) is denied." I can't even check the security properties because it states that the requested security information can't be displayed.

You might need to enable the built-in administrator account if your account doesn't have the necessary permissions. It has the same privileges as a regular admin, and you can take ownership of files easily that way.
It sounds like Windows Defender or some other security feature might be blocking access to that zipped folder because it could have a virus. If you're able to delete it or send it to the recycle bin, then you likely have admin access. But if it’s still blocking you, it might be corrupt or causing issues.
This problem is often related to not having ownership or administrator rights over the file. You should try logging into an actual administrator account. Right-click on the file, go to Properties, then Advanced, and change the Owner to your account from there. Grant yourself full control.
