I've run into a problem where I'm unable to download videos by right-clicking. The menu pops up, but the 'Save Video as...' option is grayed out. This issue started two days ago on both of my MacBooks while using Firefox. Is this due to an update or a glitch?

It’s strange because right-clicking used to work perfectly fine. Maybe there was a change in settings or an update that caused this.
It seems like it might be a new feature rather than a bug. The plugin that TechWhiz84 mentioned helped me, too!
Have you tried installing the 'Video DownloadHelper' add-on for Firefox? It worked for me when I faced a similar issue.
