I'm having some trouble installing Windows on my HP Victus 16 d0206tx. I replaced the old SSD with a brand new NVMe SSD, but when I boot from the USB flash drive containing the installation media, I only see the USB drive listed as an option for installation. The NVMe SSD doesn't show up at all. Is there a way to resolve this issue and get Windows installed on my new drive?

It sounds like the NVMe SSD might not be recognized during the installation because the necessary drivers are missing. You can try downloading the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver and using another computer to place those .inf driver files on your USB drive. You can find the driver [here](https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19512/intel-rapid-storage-technology-driver-installation-software-with-intel-optane-memory-10th-and-11th-gen-platforms.html). HP also has a guide that might help you out [here](https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4859717-4859823-16). This should help your SSD show up during the installation process!

But doesn’t Windows wipe everything on the USB drive when it’s installing?
