I'm having trouble logging into my Ubuntu 24.04 on a Lenovo ThinkPad E14. Yesterday, I tried to uninstall Unity desktop and ended up with issues. My brightness wasn't working, so I went into the BIOS to see if I could fix it. I ended up restoring factory settings, but now when I turn on my laptop, it shows the Lenovo logo and then takes me to a boot menu with several options, none of which seem to work. I checked the BIOS again and noticed that Ubuntu has been removed from the boot order. What should I do to fix this?

You should try disabling Secure Boot in your BIOS settings. This has helped others to boot into Ubuntu properly.
Thanks for the tip! I disabled Secure Boot, and now I'm at the login screen. But when I try to log in, it says 'failed to start session.' Any ideas on how to fix that?
