I've recently updated to Windows 11, and for the most part, everything seemed fine until I started having issues with a few programs. For instance, I can't open any PDFs with Adobe Acrobat; it gives me an error saying that Acrobat can't be found. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but the problem persists. I tested opening PDFs with a different program, and that worked without any issues, so I know my files are okay.
Then, I noticed another problem when trying to open Steam because I received an email about a game on sale. It gives me the same error as Acrobat, stating 'Windows cannot find "filepath". Make sure you typed the file name correctly and then try again.' I've already uninstalled and reinstalled Steam, and when I try to open it directly from the file path, I still encounter the same error. I'm not sure if there are other programs affected, but these are the only two I've noticed so far. I'd really appreciate any insights into this issue!

First, you might want to set Adobe Reader as your default PDF viewer. This could resolve the Acrobat issue. Also, for the Steam error, make sure you specify the exact error message instead of just using "filepath" while troubleshooting. It helps to pinpoint the issue better.
I'm in class right now, but if you still haven't figured it out when I'm free, I can take a look with you!
I've got a couple of solutions you can try:
1. Try launching the app directly using the command line. Just type in "C:pathtoexe.exe" in the command prompt.
2. Windows has this annoying 260 character limit for file paths. You can try disabling it by pressing Win + R, then type regedit. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlFileSystem. If you don't see LongPathsEnabled there, create a new DWORD with that name and set it to 1. Afterward, restart your computer and see if that helps.
