Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC after more than five years. I've got a solid setup with a 5080 GPU, a Gen 5 NVMe SSD, and 64 GB of RAM, all ready to go on my MSI X870E AM5 motherboard. Initially, I was leaning towards the Ryzen 9 9950X3D because of its great performance, but I've come across some concerning feedback about AMD CPUs overheating and having issues when PCs are put to sleep rather than shut down—this makes me anxious since I often keep my PC on or in sleep mode.
I'm wondering if it's worth the risk dealing with potential problems with AMD, especially given my history of anxiety about tech reliability. I've had a pretty solid experience with Intel in the past; my current build has an Intel i7 and a 1070, which has been rock stable for gaming and streaming on YouTube.
