I'm new to PC gaming and I'm trying to decide between two external graphics cards: the Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti 16GB for $430 and the AMD RX 9060 XT 16GB for $390. My main focus is 1080p gaming with some light 1440p action. Both GPUs have gotten good reviews, but I'm unsure if the extra $40 for the Nvidia is worth it or if I should save some cash and go for the AMD instead. What do you think?

Performance-wise, they're quite similar. You should consider if you need CUDA support or DLSS technology, which is prevalent in many games. I found a 9060 XT for $350, so that could be a sweet deal. But with the 5060 Ti, you wouldn't be going wrong either way.
Honestly, the $40 difference leans towards the 5060 Ti for me. The performance metrics show about 4-6% more rasterization and a 10-20% boost in ray tracing. Nvidia's features like better upscaling and CUDA support make it a strong contender. But if the price hit $80 or more, then the RX 9060 XT starts to make more sense.
If you're considering the performance, I think the 5060 Ti is the better option. It's got DLSS 4, which can really enhance your gaming experience, plus the 16GB of VRAM is a solid bonus.

True! The $40 savings could be worth it, especially if the user has an AMD CPU, which might let them enable Smart Access Memory and close the performance gap. FSR 4 is also getting better, so it's an option to consider!
