Choosing the Right GPU for My First PC Build

I'm building my first PC and aiming to keep costs reasonable. I have a Ryzen 5500 CPU and 16GB of DDR4 RAM (planning to upgrade to 32GB soon). I don't have a strict budget but I'm open to spending a bit more for a better deal. Additionally, I'm trying to decide whether to buy a new GPU or look for used options on sites like eBay or marketplace. Any suggestions?

What kind of monitor are you using? If you're going for 4K at 144Hz, you'll need a powerful GPU, but realistically 1440p is more manageable and can still look great on most games. You might want to balance your budget with what you primarily play and your display resolution.

A GPU around $160 might not cut it for 4K gaming. You should consider either getting a mid-range option that supports 1440p well or keep an eye on used GPUs that might be available. Sometimes you can find great deals if you're willing to shop around a bit.
