Hey everyone! I'm wrapping up my PC build and could use some guidance on the power cable for my Gigabyte 5090 gaming OC GPU. It comes with a 12VHPWR cable that has four connections, but I'm a bit confused about where they go since there's no manual provided. I'm using an RM1200X Shift PSU that has a 12V2x6 cable split into two PCIe connectors. I was considering using a Corsair PSU cable to power the GPU and want to know if that's safe to prevent any potential burning issues. Additionally, I'm looking at the Corsair Pro PSU cable kit to replace my standard cables for better quality once it arrives. Is my current setup with the Corsair cable safe for the time being?

Just use the included 12VHPWR/12V-2x6 cable from your PSU. Make sure it’s plugged in securely to the GPU and avoid bending the cable too much near the connection. Remember, swapping out cables won't really improve performance, just the visuals.
You should definitely stick to using the 12V-2x6 cable from your PSU. The adapter that came with the GPU is mainly for those who don’t have a suitable native cable. That said, it’s worth mentioning that there's not much guarantee that the cable won’t have issues. Your GPU is pretty power-hungry at 575W and using a cable designed for max 660W doesn't leave much safety margin. It's a bit risky with the current design of the connector.
