I'm about to buy a power supply and need at least 800 watts. I'm debating between the 850W Montech Century II (which is rated A tier) and the 1000W Rosewill VGM (rated B tier) for future-proofing my setup. Both are 80+ gold rated. I'm planning to run a 9070XT GPU and a 7800X3D CPU, along with a 2TB SSD, an ATX motherboard, a 360mm AIO cooler, and a total of 10 case fans. Which one would be the better choice?

I've been using the Montech for about three months now with a 7800X3D and a 5070. It's been working well so far, no complaints!
I just picked up the Montech 1200W for $120. It's a steal for the quality you're getting, and it looks pretty good too!
You might want to consider the Montech 1050W version. It's just a bit more than the B-tier Rosewill PSU and offers better wattage. Plus, it's great for future-proofing!
I saw that option, but it’s closer to $20 more. I'm on a bit of a budget, so I need to think about it. I get your point, though; it might be worth the extra cash.
The Rosewill is going for $93, while the Montech Century II 850W is about $90. The 1050W option is $110, so it's not a huge jump for more wattage. Just keep in mind that the Century II has a 10-year warranty, which is double that of the Rosewill.
Yeah, but make sure to compare the PCIE connections; the Montech 850W only has 2 PCIE connectors and a 12VHPWR. You'll want to check what your GPU requires.

Was that an open box deal or a regular price?
