Choosing the Right Power Supply for a 5060 Ti Upgrade

Hey everyone! 🙂 A few years back, I bought a pre-built PC since I'm a bit nervous about building one myself. Now, after about three years, I'm looking to make some upgrades. I'm planning to upgrade my GPU to a 5060 Ti, but I have a couple of questions. First, I'm a bit confused about what kind of chip clock boost I should expect. Can anyone clarify this for me? Second, I know I need a better power supply; can you recommend what wattage I should consider? Thanks in advance for your help! I love gaming, but when it comes to PC stuff, I'm totally lost!

What's your current power supply wattage? A 550W PSU would definitely be suitable for the 5060 Ti. But if you're at 450W, you might want to upgrade to ensure stability. The GPU isn't too demanding, but it's better to have a little extra just in case!

I have a 450W power supply now, so I'll definitely look into getting a new one.

Good call! Having a reliable PSU is crucial for your system.

It sounds like you're trying to figure out the clock boost, right? It can be confusing! The 5060 Ti can offer options like 2.602 MHz, 2.647 MHz, or 2.692 MHz, depending on the settings you choose. As for the power supply, a 550W PSU should be more than enough for your setup; the 5060 Ti isn't a huge power hog.

Thanks, that helps clear things up! I wasn’t sure how much power I needed.

Yeah, 550W should be fine unless you plan to add more components later.
