Choosing the Right PSU for an RX 9070 XT

Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a new power supply unit (PSU) because I'm planning to get an RX 9070 XT soon for 1440p gaming. I've been eyeing the Corsair RM750X, which seems to be a solid choice, but I'm also wondering if it's sufficient for potential overclocking in the future. My CPU is a Ryzen 7 5700G, so it shouldn't draw too much power. Additionally, I noticed that the RM850X is priced similarly to a 1000W option with free shipping, so I'm debating whether to go for that extra headroom or if it's overkill. Any advice?

I would recommend looking into the RM850E (2025) model as an option. If you’re using the RX 9070 XT, I think an 850W PSU would be ideal for your setup, especially if you want some room for potential upgrades in the future.

Yeah, I considered that one too since it's available locally. I just heard that the RMx series comes with better features and I wasn't sure how to tell which year it's from.

The RM750X is a great choice and should definitely meet your gaming needs without any issue. You could also look into alternatives like the Thermaltake Toughpower GF3, which is a bit cheaper but still reliable. If you're considering pushing up to 850W, look into the MSI MAG A850GL as it’s a solid option too. Corsair is good, but sometimes you can find just as good for less money!

No restrictions here, just planning to buy from Amazon since they have free shipping to my area. I’ll check out those alternatives, thanks!
