I haven't used my computer in a couple of months and when I tried to power it up today, it seemed to run for a few seconds before shutting off, then it turned back on again. The motherboard seems to be getting power, but my mouse and keyboard aren't working and the monitor stays black. After about 10 minutes, the monitor unexpectedly turned on and my mouse and keyboard started working, letting the PC run fine for about 3 hours. Then, out of nowhere, the screen froze and I'm back to the same problem: the computer looks like it's on, but there's no display, and my mouse and keyboard are unresponsive.

If you didn’t build your PC yourself, it might be a good idea to take it to someone who knows what they’re doing. Just to be safe! But reseating RAM isn’t too risky if you follow a guide.
You might want to try reseating your RAM. Sometimes, if a PC sits unused for a while, the RAM can become slightly dislodged or dusty, leading to boot issues.
Before you reseat the RAM, consider cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser. This can help eliminate any corrosion issues. If you have electrical contact cleaner, a quick spray around the internal and external ports can also help.
