A few weeks back, I posted about some RAM issues I was experiencing. I've got 4x 8GB RAM sticks and 2x 16GB sticks. Initially, I used the 4x kit, but after seeing errors, I switched to the 2x kit, which is now showing similar problems. I ran the 16GB sticks one at a time and found one that had a lot of errors, which made sense given the crashes I'd been having. However, when I tested the 4x kit stick by stick and even all together, it passed Memtest without any errors, which was puzzling since it had errors about a year ago. Just a few days later, though, I started getting STATUS_breakpoint errors on Chrome and some other programs. I ran Memtest again, and sure enough, there were tons of errors. At this point, I'm really unsure if it's the RAM or if the motherboard might be at fault. Before I commit to buying new parts, I'd love any insights or suggestions from the community.

It sounds like it could be a faulty memory controller on your CPU. What CPU and motherboard are you using? If you've tested all the RAM sticks and you're still getting errors, it might be time to look at the motherboard itself. Things like microcracks or bad solder joints could be the culprits. If you can, try your CPU in a different motherboard or vice versa to see if the issue persists.
Yeah, that’s me! I’ve got a Ryzen 5 5600X with an ASUS TUF Gaming B550M-Plus motherboard. It's about 4-5 years old—how long do these usually last?
It might also be worth checking for any updates for your motherboard firmware. Sometimes issues like these can be resolved with a quick firmware update. Also, keep an eye on CPU temperatures; overheating can also cause random errors with RAM.

Good point! Also, consider the RAM speed. Some motherboards can't handle higher speeds, leading to errors. For instance, my ITX board struggled with 3600 MHz RAM but worked just fine at 3200 MHz.
