I'm looking for ways to connect my iPhone to a TV without using the internet. Is there a more affordable alternative than buying an HDMI adapter? I recently picked up an open box adapter for $9, but it turns out I'll be using a computer monitor instead of a TV. Any suggestions?

AirPlay might be your best bet. You just need WiFi to link your devices; it doesn’t have to be connected to the internet. Pick up a cheap WiFi router, and you should be good to go! If your TV doesn’t support AirPlay, think about getting a Roku stick instead.
Great question! Fire TV usually needs an internet connection, but some apps might let you stream local content.
You could consider using Chromecast! It's a neat way to cast your screen, but it typically requires a WiFi connection.
If your TV supports AirPlay, you can connect directly via peer-to-peer without being on a wireless network. But remember that certain third-party AirPlay devices might have limitations.
That’s true but streaming could be restricted due to copyright protection.
A USB-C docking station can work like an HDMI adapter if you're using time with your iPhone. Also, you can mirror your screen to an Apple TV directly, though it’s limited for streaming apps without internet.
I have an iPhone 13 with a lightning connector, so that won’t work for me. I'm currently staying with my grandparents who have no internet, and I’m hoping to watch Netflix on their TV from my phone.
You don't need internet for AirPlay if both your TV and iPhone have Bluetooth and WiFi enabled. Alternatively, hook your computer up to the TV via HDMI and use that to display your iPhone screen.

If I used a Fire TV, would I be able to connect without internet?
