Hey everyone! I've been working in IT for a while, focusing on network troubleshooting and system administration. However, I've decided it's time to pivot into a full development role. I'm really passionate about coding and want to create web applications from the ground up. I'm considering a dev bootcamp, particularly one that covers both front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React) and back-end (Python, Django, Node.js) development. I found the Full-Stack Web Development Certificate from Noble Desktop and it looks promising with its extensive hands-on training, 1-on-1 mentoring, and real-world projects. Knowing my background, I want to ensure that the program is beginner-friendly but also rigorous enough to prepare me quickly for a job in development. Has anyone here made the leap from IT to dev through a bootcamp, and what do you think is the best option for someone like me who is new to coding?

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend going the bootcamp route, especially with how the job market is right now. It's tough out there for junior developers, and many are struggling to find jobs, even with a degree. It just doesn't seem worth the investment anymore given the current situation.

What's the current situation for junior devs? I haven’t been keeping up with the job market, so I'm curious about the challenges.
