Considering a GPU Upgrade: What to Choose?

I'm thinking about upgrading my GPU. I currently have an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Super, but I'm unsure about what I should get next. I mainly play Paradox strategy games and I've been facing some performance challenges lately. While I really want to upgrade my RAM, that's not feasible for me at the moment, so I'm here for GPU recommendations. Any advice?

Honestly, a GPU upgrade alone might not fill the performance gap you're feeling. You might want to consider making a more comprehensive upgrade plan.

Upgrading to 1440p might be a good step if you're looking for better visuals. Also, make sure to use the Nvidia app to optimize your settings for performance. And check your motherboard and BIOS updates; those can make a big difference!

What resolution are you gaming at? If you're feeling slowdowns particularly in Paradox games, it might actually be your CPU or RAM that's holding you back more than your GPU. You might want to check your CPU usage versus GPU usage.

In that case, it seems like my RAM is the bottleneck. My CPU usage is only at 10%, and I have 32GB of RAM but it's filling up fast while gaming in 1080p.

You're only a gen behind with your GPU. Are you experiencing struggles in games? You might want to consider waiting for the 60xx series to drop; it could be worth it for better performance down the line.

What's your current CPU and RAM? That can definitely affect your gaming experience. Knowing what you're working with can help narrow down GPU options.
