Hey folks! I'm planning to upgrade my PC that I built about 6 years ago. I've made a couple of updates since then, but I'm starting to feel the age of my setup. I'm aiming to game at 1440p, and I'm considering getting a new GPU first. I have a budget of around £300 (I'm fine with buying second-hand), but I've been out of the loop for a while, so I'd appreciate any advice on where to start. Here are my current specs:
- CPU: Intel I5 12600k
- CPU Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240
- GPU: Palit Jetstream GTX 1080
- Motherboard: Asus Prime Z690-P D4
- RAM: Crucial Ballistix 16GB DDR4 3200MHz
- Storage: Western Digital 1TB SSD / Adata Legend 800 1TB M.2 SSD
- PSU: Seasonic Core GM 650W Gold 80+
- Case: Cougar Gemini S

Why not consider upgrading your RAM first? A 2x16GB kit would really help, especially if you notice any slowdowns when gaming. Have you checked if your current memory ever bottlenecks?
If you're able to find a used Radeon RX 9060 XT, that could be a fantastic GPU upgrade for you! It's definitely a solid choice for 1440p gaming.
For an extra £50, you could secure a Radeon RX 9060 XT with 16GB VRAM, which would be a great boost for your gaming needs as well! Just keep an eye out for deals.

I'm still using a 1080p monitor right now, but I plan to switch to 1440p after I upgrade some components. My RAM usage is usually around 60% while gaming, and I haven't experienced any stutter so far. Any other recommendations?
