I recently upgraded from an RTX 3080 to a 5070 Ti, but I'm not seeing the performance improvements I expected. I have an i9-10900K, and my CPU usage is hitting 100% while gaming. Could this indicate a bottleneck? Any advice would be appreciated!

Try increasing your resolution and graphical settings. Your GPU doesn’t have to always run at 100%. If it’s lower, it might just mean you’re CPU bottlenecked. I had to cap my FPS to prevent my CPU from maxing out!
Your CPU is getting older; it’s about five years now. A 100% utilization means it’s completely pushed to its limits, so yes, it’s likely the bottleneck here.
Absolutely! If your GPU isn’t pushing 95%+ usage consistently, you're not fully utilizing its power. It's tricky though; your CPU at 100% and the GPU at a minimum load is a sign that the CPU is holding you back. It sounds unusual that a 10-core CPU is maxing out on just gaming. What resolution are you playing at? Maybe some games like Star Citizen or Cities: Skylines are hitting those limits? It wasn't my experience with the 10700K paired with a 3080; I hardly saw it over 70% usage!
If your CPU usage is constantly at 100%, you've got a CPU bottleneck for sure. You can check how hard your GPU is working too; if it’s under 80% load, it’s probably not getting the performance it could. Think about an upgrade if you're not hitting your target frame rates!
Hitting 100% on a 10900K isn’t common. I had a 9900K with a more powerful GPU, and I never reached that level. Something feels off with your setup.
Totally! Increasing your settings and resolution can help distribute the load better between the CPU and GPU! It’ll also improve your overall gaming experience.

I doubt a 10-core CPU should be maxed out just from gaming. You might have other processes running that are hogging resources, like a mining bot or something.
