Could Magnetism from Batteries Damage My PC?

Hi everyone! I have a bit of a silly question about my keyboard and PC. While my keyboard was connected to my PC, two batteries accidentally came in contact with it through some magnetism. I'm worried if this could have damaged my hardware. If it did cause damage, how would I know? Just to clarify, I'm curious about any voltage that might have flowed from the batteries through the keyboard into my PC. Thanks for your patience; English isn't my first language!

Yeah, you probably have nothing to worry about. As long as you didn't have a power surge or anything like that directly hitting the motherboard, your setup should be alright!

Generally, you should be fine! Magnetism isn't really an issue for modern PC hardware like it used to be with floppy disks. Unless you directly shorted a battery onto any exposed metal, it’s unlikely that anything got damaged.

It's not just about magnetism that matters here. I'm more concerned about the voltage from those batteries. If they created any significant voltage while connected through the keyboard, it could potentially affect the PC. But in most cases, these connections are pretty safe.
