Could My Computer Have a Virus?

Hey everyone! So here's the deal: I have Google Drive syncing to my PC, and a couple of months ago, I discovered a random screenshot of my laptop's screen that was uploaded to my Google Photos. I initially thought it was just a mistake, but then I found another screenshot last night that I didn't take, and now I'm worried I might have a virus. My screenshots usually don't end up in that folder unless I manually copy them, and I mainly use the snipping tool for capturing images. I disabled the syncing of the screenshots folder after realizing it was backing up automatically. So, is there a chance I have a virus, especially since I've run Windows Defender scans and nothing has shown up? What should I do next?

Honestly, from what you're describing, it doesn't sound like a virus at all. It seems more likely that you've installed some app that is taking screenshots without you realizing it, possibly on a schedule or triggered by something you're doing unknowingly. You might want to check installed programs to see if there's anything suspicious.

Thanks for this! Could you share some examples of apps that might do this?
