Could My External SSD Be Faulty?

Hey everyone, I've got an external SSD that's acting up. It allows me to transfer files, but they don't actually save on the drive. Windows is telling me that it needs to be repaired, but the repair process gets stuck at 0%. I tried using SSD-Z to check it, and while it doesn't show the SMART data, it claims there's about 400 GB of space left. I've also looked at CrystalDisk, but it doesn't recognize the SSD at all. Is it possible the SSD is truly full, or could it be faulty, especially since it has been dropped? I'd really appreciate any help!

Have you checked what you paid for it? Sometimes these SSDs can be scams, especially if you got it at a significantly lower price. You might want to run Validrive or h2testw to check its real capacity.

I ran Validrive, and it shows that 29 out of 576 squares are validated while the rest say "No storage." I don't really believe it’s actually 1 TB since it was only 40 euros. I'm now analyzing it with h2test, but it’s slow because part of it is already filled. It's going to take forever!
