Could my GTX 1060 GPU be failing?

Hey everyone! I'm in need of some help regarding my GTX 1060 6GB graphics card. Yesterday, it started acting weird by showing my desktop for just a second before going black, and it keeps looping like that. I replaced the HDMI cable without any luck and switched monitors too, but the issue still continues. I did try a streaming device on the monitor, and that worked fine, so I think my monitor is okay. Any thoughts on whether my GPU might be on its last legs?

It sounds like your GPU might be having issues. A good first step is to boot from a Linux live USB to see if it could be a driver problem. If the issue stays even there, it likely means your GPU is failing. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion! I did forget to mention that this happens right from boot, even before the BIOS screen. I'll still give the USB a shot to see if it changes anything.

It’s tough when it persists even in BIOS. That usually means it’s more about the hardware than the software. Hope you find a solution!
