Could This Be a Motherboard Issue?

Hey everyone! I've been having some startup problems with my computer lately. When I turn it on, sometimes the startup sequence gets interrupted—the keyboard light goes out, but the fan keeps running. Reseating the RAM seems to help for a bit, but then the problem comes back. I've tried a few things like disconnecting all peripherals except one monitor, reseating RAM, and even removing one stick of RAM, but nothing seems to fix it long-term. I'm starting to think it might be a motherboard issue since I'm using an MSI X470 and recently updated the firmware. Do you think I need to replace the motherboard, or is there something else I should be looking into? Any advice would be super helpful, thanks!

I had a similar issue not long ago. Is your boot drive an SSD? If it is, how old is it? I experienced intermittent boot failures, and it wasn't until my PC crashed that I found out my boot drive was toast. Check your drive's health and make sure to back up any important data. Trust me, you don’t want to deal with formatting after losing everything!

Yes, it's an SSD and it's been around for about 5 years. I guess I'll try reformatting it using my laptop, just in case!
