Could This Laptop Screen Cable Be Faulty?

I recently replaced the screen cable on my Dell laptop since the original one was damaged by the hinge pressing against it. The new cable is from AliExpress, since I couldn't find a replacement anywhere else for my older model. Upon inspection, I noticed that the metallic part of the cable doesn't seem to be securely attached to the black tape covering it (what's that part called, by the way?). I'm wondering:

1. Does the cable look faulty based on the pictures I'll share in the comments?
2. Is it a problem that I bought a cheap, non-original cable?
3. Should I back up my data before having a technician replace the screen cable?

It definitely looks a bit detached from the photos. You could try carefully peeling back the black tape to check if the wires are still connected properly. A technician can definitely assess if it's safe to use or if you need a new one.

Thanks for the quick response! Is it really safe to peel off the tape? I’m worried I might accidentally damage something. Also, do you know if they will remove the hard drive during the repair? Should I back up my data just in case?
