I've got a GeForce RTX 5070, and I'm currently getting about 180 fps while playing Halo at 1440p. I have a 180Hz monitor, so I'm limited to that for now, but if I upgrade to a faster monitor in the future, what maximum fps could I realistically achieve? I'm just looking for some insights because I can't seem to find reliable information on this, especially since this is my first PC.

You might want to try uncapping your FPS to see how high it can really go. Although your current 180Hz monitor limits you, a more powerful monitor in the future could let you reach higher frame rates without a hitch! Just keep in mind that the actual fps you get can depend on several factors, like the game’s optimization and your settings.
That makes sense! But how would I even test the limits on my current setup if I can’t go beyond 180Hz?
