My RTX 4070 Ti just died, and I'm in the market for a new GPU. Here's the setup I'm working with: a B550 ROG Strix motherboard, a Ryzen 9 5900X processor, 32GB of 3600MHz RAM (Trident Z), and a Corsair 850W power supply. I game at 1440p on an ultrawide monitor (3440x1440). I'm debating between the 5070 Ti and the 5080. I have a few questions: 1. For gaming at 1440p ultrawide, is the 5070 Ti sufficient, or is it worth splurging on the 5080? 2. Will my 5900X create any bottlenecks with either card? 3. Will my 850W PSU have any power or connector issues with these GPUs?

From a price-to-performance perspective, the 5070 Ti is a solid choice. It offers enough power for 1440p ultrawide gaming, while the 5080 is about 15% faster but comes at a higher price—30% to 50% more. Your 5900X might cause some bottlenecking in certain games, but it shouldn't ruin your overall experience.

Honestly, you could try to warranty the 4070 Ti since it was released just last January and many still have warranties extending 3 years or more.
