Hi everyone! I built my own PC a couple of years ago, and let's just say it was quite the challenging experience. After dealing with two faulty motherboards, I ended up taking it to a local shop to get rebuilt with a new one. Since then, it's generally worked fine, but it is a bit sensitive if moved around.
Recently, I started having issues with Firefox constantly crashing, even with just a few tabs open. I decided to run MemTest86+ and after about four hours, it reported over 43,000 errors! I then tried a quicker test using TestMem5, which indicated 99 errors in just 15 minutes. I really don't have time to individually test each RAM stick for four hours, nor do I want to take the PC apart after my previous experience. How likely is it that my RAM needs replacing, or could there be bigger problems with my motherboard or CPU? Thanks in advance for any insights!

It sounds like you're encountering some serious RAM issues. One thing you might try is lowering the speed or loosening the timings of your RAM in the BIOS. If you have a lower XMP profile, switching to that could help too. If reducing those settings helps to cut down on the errors, then you might just need to adjust your RAM settings instead of replacing hardware.
Would just disabling XMP do the trick?
Another route to go is to test with only two sticks of RAM at lower speeds, like 3600MHz or 3200MHz, to see if that resolves the issue. If you find that errors still occur with all four sticks, try disabling RAM overclocking and setting it to default speeds in BIOS. This often fixes stability issues with high-frequency RAM!
Thanks for the advice! I set the Memory Tuning to Auto instead of DOCP, ran the test again with all four sticks, but still got tons of errors.

I appreciate the tip! I'll look into how to adjust those settings.
