I recently stumbled upon some updates about Azure AI Foundry and noticed that some documents and platforms now refer to it as Microsoft Foundry. I'm curious if Microsoft has officially changed the name or if both terms are still in use. It seems that Microsoft is streamlining their branding.
From what I've gathered:
- Microsoft has indeed rebranded Azure AI Foundry to Microsoft Foundry as part of a larger initiative to consolidate their AI platforms.
- The core functions of building, testing, and deploying AI applications and agents remain the same.
- Users still access the platform through the same portal (ai.azure.com), but they are gradually rolling out the new "Foundry" experience.
- There are still instances of documentation referring to Azure AI Foundry, which adds a bit of confusion.
So, it seems like more of a branding shift than a complete overhaul of the platform.

For sure, it has changed! But honestly, by the time you read this, they might have switched it again. That's just how Microsoft rolls!
Yep, they officially rebranded it at the Ignite conference last year. Microsoft has a habit of renaming things without much warning at those kinds of events! Seems like they're always in flux with their product names.

If only they could make renaming resources on Azure as simple as this! It’s a real pain sometimes.
