Hey everyone! I just finished repasting my CPU with MX-4 thermal paste using a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE. I'm using a 7800x3d and would love to get your opinions on my application. Does it look good, or do you think I need to redo it? I'm a bit concerned about whether I used too much.

It looks like you put on too much thermal paste, but it won't actually cause any issues for your CPU. Just know that it might be a hassle to clean up later. In the future, try to use about half that amount—just a pea-sized dot should do the trick since the cooler will spread it out into a thin layer pretty effectively.
I’m considering trying PTM 7950 next time. Do you think that would be a good option?
