Hey everyone! I recently installed an RTX 5070, and it came with a 12VHPWR to 8-pin PCIe adapter. It mentions that I should use the connector provided with the GPU, but my PSU has a dedicated 12VHPWR port available. Should I have used the adapter to connect to the 8-pin PCIe, or is it better to connect it to the 12VHPWR port on my PSU? I'm asking because my PC doesn't perform as expected and occasionally freezes. Here are my specs:
* Ryzen 7 7700
* 32GB RAM
* 750W PSU
* RTX 5070
I've already updated all the NVIDIA drivers, upgraded Windows, and even formatted my system, but the freezing problem persists. Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

Using the cable you mentioned shouldn't affect the freezing or performance of your PC, so don't stress about that too much. Freezing usually happens due to not having enough RAM or VRAM. Can you share what you're doing when it freezes?
I would recommend using the 12VHPWR cable since it has fewer connections, which can lead to better stability. The freezes might be due to system instability or overheating. If an SSD needs a firmware update, it can also cause issues. Check your Windows Task Manager to see if you have a lot of things running in the background. Using Hwinfo64 to monitor your temps could help, and running a memory scan with OCCT is also a good idea.
