I'm heading into my senior year this fall and have been applying to a ton of internships without any luck so far. Out of the blue, I received a screening interview for a position I applied to without any prior scheduling. During the interview, they asked standard HR questions and gave me the chance to ask my own. Usually, I prepare well for these types of interviews, but since I didn't know much about the company, I could only ask a basic question about the role's schedule. I'm worried that this wasn't enough and that I bombed the interview, but they mentioned they would forward my resume to the hiring manager, so maybe there's still hope?

Honestly, a decent company won't cut you from the hiring process just because of one question you asked or if it wasn’t super in-depth. It sounds like you brought enough to the table!
I had a similar experience! An interviewer once asked if I researched their company. I told them no, and they ended the interview right then. Honestly, I prefer knowing that right away than wasting my time with a company that doesn't value different perspectives.
No worries! They said they’re forwarding your resume to the hiring manager, which is a sign you made it past the initial gate. That's a good thing!
True! I get frustrated too when interviews are super short. Mine were supposed to be 15-20 minutes, but ended up being 5, which makes you feel off.
