Hey everyone, I hope you're all having a good evening! I recently bought a pair of CORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 RAM sticks—32GB in total (2x16GB, 6400MHz, CL36-48-48-104, 1.35V with AMD Expo)—for €250 (about $290). It's in perfect condition and hasn't been opened. Unfortunately, some people in my circle have told me I got ripped off, and now I'm questioning whether I actually made a smart decision or if I'm just being naive by not waiting longer to find a better deal. What do you all think? Did I get a good price for it or am I just being a sucker?

The RAM market is definitely tricky right now. While $290 might feel steep compared to a couple of months ago, it really depends on where you are. Some spots still have high prices due to limited stock.
It might not be the best deal, but if you really need RAM now and want to build your system, having it is better than waiting another year to find another. It becomes a bit subjective based on urgency and availability!
Honestly, it sounds like you might have overpaid. Prices for 32GB DDR5 RAM have dipped lately, and $290 does seem on the high side compared to other recent sales. It's important to shop around and check various retailers to get the best deal.
I won't say you should regret your purchase completely, but it is good to be cautious about those prices!
Yeah, I really think waiting for a sale could have saved you some cash. Better luck next time!
I think you paid about what should be expected for this time of year. I paid around €294 last winter, and now it seems prices are fluctuating pretty wildly. In my area, AMD setups with DDR5 are still pretty pricey. So, it could be worse for sure!

Totally agree! Sometimes you gotta weigh your needs against potential savings.
