I'm feeling really anxious right now because I accidentally unboxed my motherboard on my bed. I was careful, but it hit me later that I might have exposed it to electrostatic discharge (ESD). I spent less than 10 minutes on the bed, which only had a sheet on it, no blankets, but I'm still worried that I might have caused some damage that could affect other components in my first PC build. Am I overreacting?

Nah, you didn't damage anything. Everyone here has probably built on a bed or sofa at some point. You're just fine!
Hey, look, I built an entire PC on my bed with just one screwdriver and some frustration, and it still works perfectly! I think you’ll be totally fine! Don't stress it too much.
Yeah, honestly, I think you'll be alright too! Just put everything together and see how it runs.
You’re stressing over nothing! There are tons of videos where they try to destroy components with ESD, and they rarely succeed. Just go for it!
Honestly, those components are tougher than you might think. Just go ahead and build your system; chances are you haven’t done any damage at all.
Exactly! There's so much misinformation about ESD. Just take your time and check everything.

Thanks! That makes me feel a lot better.
