Did I Score a Good Deal on My 2080 Ti?

I just picked up an Asus Rog Strix OC 2080 Ti for $200 this weekend, and I'm curious if that's a solid deal. I plan to use it mostly for 1440p FPS shooters, so I hope it meets my needs. Also, could anyone suggest budget-friendly components for my build? I'm specifically looking for a PSU, MOBO, and a DDR5 CPU that would pair well with this card in 2025.

Good call! I’d suggest getting a Ryzen 5 7500F if you're cool with ordering from AliExpress; otherwise, go for the 7600. For the motherboard, just make sure it has enough headers and ports. And aim for a 650 or 750W PSU; there's a PSU tier list you can check out for guidance.

Thanks! I’m fine with ordering from AliExpress; I was actually looking at a case from there but the tariffs have increased the prices so much.

Great find! Given the current market, you can't really go wrong with that. Best of luck with your build!

Good deal! Just for comparison, I sold my 3070 for about $230 before the tariffs, and those are pretty comparable cards. Your purchase is looking good with that VRAM difference!

Exactly! The 2080 Ti has more VRAM, so it’s definitely a attractive buy, especially with how pricey cards are right now.

That's a pretty solid price! For reference, used prices on eBay are around $300, so you've snagged a good deal!

That's definitely a fantastic card that deserves more love. I had mine for years and it never disappointed. It’s particularly great for its VRAM, especially since it comes in cheaper than a 3070 or even a 3080.

Totally! I was looking at it for the VRAM advantage, especially compared to the 3070 and 3080 at a lower price.

I had the 1080 Ti, 2080 Ti, 3080, and now the 5090. The 2080 Ti is good, but honestly, I’d recommend looking at a 3080 or going for the 40 series if you can.
