Did my RAM upgrade break my PC?

I'm in a bit of trouble and really need some help! I have a B450M Steel Legend motherboard and was previously using a single 8GB stick of Asgard DDR4 3600MHz RAM. Today, I decided to upgrade to two Corsair Vengeance LPX sticks (2x16GB, also DDR4 3600MHz). I installed them in the second and fourth slots (A2 and B2), but now my PC powers on with no display. It stays on for around 40 seconds before it turns off and then starts back up again in a loop. I tried putting my old RAM back in, the one that was working fine, but I'm still facing the same issue with no display and just the endless on/off cycle. Did I mess something up? 😢 I'm really lost on what to do next.

You might want to just leave it for a bit. Sometimes, the motherboard does some memory training when you upgrade RAM. Seriously, just step away and give it some time to sort itself out. It can be a little nerve-wracking if you're not familiar with it, but walking away might be the answer here!

Should I leave both new sticks in, or just one for this memory training? I want to make sure I get it right!

Exactly! Just don't worry if it feels odd—it's all part of the process. You just give it some space to do its thing.

If that doesn’t help, try removing the RAM completely and clearing the CMOS before putting it back in. If it still acts up, you might want to consider returning the Corsair RAM and trying a different brand out.

How do I clear the CMOS exactly? I haven't done that before!
