I'm brand new to building PCs and just received my CPU, but I'm worried I might have been sent the wrong model. I ordered an Intel Core i5-14600K but got a Core i5-13400F instead. Is there a chance this was a return item? What should I do?

You should just return it. If it was in the wrong packaging or clearly not what you ordered, that's grounds for a return. Get it sorted out soon!
You didn't get ripped off; you just received the wrong item. They messed up, so contacting them to get what you actually ordered is your best bet!
Did it come in the right box? Either way, definitely reach out to Walmart about it. They should be able to help you get the right one.
It sounds like you definitely need to reach out to Walmart's support. They should be able to help you get the correct CPU you ordered. Don't wait too long, or it might complicate the return process!
Totally agree! It's best to contact them ASAP so you can avoid any issues with returns.
If you received the wrong part, it's definitely worth contacting them right away. They need to know they made a mistake! Just make sure to explain everything clearly so they can assist you properly.
Exactly! Better to sort it out immediately before it becomes a hassle later.

I actually set up a replacement return, so they’ll send me the correct one at no cost. I guess I should've checked the price difference!
