I'm dealing with an intermittent DisplayPort problem that has been going on for nearly two months. My system uses an RTX 4060, an LG UltraGear 24GS60F-B monitor, fully updated Windows, and current graphics drivers. DisplayPort works normally for a while, then the monitor suddenly reports "No Signal." Reconnecting the cable or restarting the computer sometimes restores the picture. I've tested two different cables, including a VESA-certified DisplayPort cable, so I'm not sure the cable is responsible. The monitor is set to DisplayPort 1.4 and I've disabled power-saving features, Deep Sleep, and automatic input scanning. HDMI works consistently, but it doesn't provide G-SYNC Compatible at 180 Hz with this setup. Could the cause be the graphics card, monitor, DisplayPort connector, firmware, BIOS, or another setting? I'd like to troubleshoot this properly before giving up on DisplayPort.

Since the monitor’s power-saving options are already disabled and the DP mode is set manually, I’d isolate the hardware one component at a time. Try every DisplayPort output on the RTX 4060, reseat the graphics card and its power connection, and test the monitor with another computer if possible. If another system also loses signal, the monitor’s DisplayPort input or firmware is suspicious. If the problem follows the GPU, try a clean graphics-driver installation and check whether the card manufacturer has a firmware update. It’s also worth testing temporarily at a lower refresh rate, such as 144 Hz, to see whether the link becomes stable.

The monitor’s power saving, Deep Sleep, and automatic scanning options are already disabled, and it’s locked to DP 1.4. I’ll test the other GPU outputs and lower the refresh rate to see whether the connection becomes more reliable. The included cable worked for about a year before this started, and the VESA-certified replacement behaves the same way.
