Hey everyone, I'm putting together my first PC and I think I might have run into a snag. I've got a Merc 310 7900 XTX GPU that needs 3 PCIe connectors, and I noticed my power supply (PSU) has only 3 PCIe connections too. The catch is, my CPU also requires 1 connection. Am I in trouble here? I heard it's best to use separate PCIe connections for each port on the GPU instead of doubling up. What should I do next? Any advice would be super helpful!

You definitely have enough connections! The CPU takes a 4-pin or 4+4 pin, which is separate from the PCIe connectors. You'll be good to go with your setup.
You're all set! The CPU doesn’t use a PCIe connector; it has its own 8-pin EPS connector. That means your GPU gets all 3 of the PCIe connectors from your power supply. Just go ahead and build it!
Don’t worry too much! Your CPU actually uses an EPS connector, not a PCIe one. Just check the model of your PSU, and I think you’ll find you're in good shape. What PSU do you have?

I have the Gigabyte UD Gold 1000W PCI-e GEN 5 ATX 3.0.
