Do I need a 12V HWPWR connector on both ends of an ATX 3.1 cable?

I just got a Superflower ATX 3.1 power supply unit (PSU) that has a 12V HWPWR connector only at the GPU end. The other end connected to the PSU has a standard connector instead. I'm wondering if this means that my PSU doesn't meet the ATX 3.1 specification. I couldn't find concrete information about this, but I've seen some PSUs that do have the 12VHWPWR connector on both ends. Can anyone clarify this or point me to something in the spec?

There's actually no strict standard requiring a specific connector at the PSU end. If your PSU came with that cable configuration, then it's compliant as is. No need to stress about it!

I'm not worried, I have other Superflower PSUs and they've performed great. Just wanted to know if it meets the spec. Thanks for clearing that up! I guess having the same connector on both ends could help prevent melting issues if the PSU isn't fully connected.
