Do I Need a Higher Wattage PSU for My GPU and CPU Upgrade?

I'm planning to upgrade my GPU from a 4060 to either a 4070 Super or an RX 9060 XT, and I also want to switch my CPU from an AMD 7600 to a 7800X3D. Given these changes, do I need to increase my PSU from 650W?

If your PSU is 80 Plus Gold or better, you're in the clear with 650W. Just double-check its model—quality matters as much as wattage!

I think upgrading to RX 9060 XT is a smart move; the jump from 4060 to 4070 Super is minor since they're from the same generation. You probably don't need to change your PSU.

A 7800X3D is pretty efficient on power. A quality 650W PSU should handle the 4070 Super just fine, but it’s a bit on the edge. If you can, I recommend going for a 750W unit just to be safe.

No, you should be good with 650W! Just make sure to check the power consumption for your new hardware, though.
