Do I need a special cable for my new GPU with this power supply?

I recently got an MSI MAG ABSOLG PCIe 5.0 850W power supply and a 5060Ti 16GB OC Windforce GPU. PC Part Picker indicates that the power supply is compatible with my GPU, but it didn't include a cable specifically for it. It came with a 600W cable that has a yellow connector. Is there a particular cable I need for my GPU? Here's my parts list for reference: [PC Part Picker Link].

You'll need the standard 6+2 PCIe power cable for your GPU. If your power supply has a pigtail on that cable, just tie it to the main one or leave it as is; it shouldn't cause any issues. It's a pretty common setup.

Your GPU requires a single 8-pin PCIe power cable, and your power supply should come with a couple of those. If the 8-pin connectors are labeled for the CPU instead, just double-check because the 6+2 connector is indeed what you're looking for! Those extra cables can look a bit messy, but most just ignore the dangling bits.

Yeah, I noticed that too! The 6+2 connectors can be a little unwieldy with too many cables branching off. It might help to use some cable ties to tidy it up if it bothers you!
