I recently got a new PC, but where I live, we experience power outages at least once a day. I have a voltage protector and surge protector combo, but I'm worried that these frequent outages might harm my PC's components or shorten its lifespan. I want to know if investing in a UPS is necessary or if I can avoid the expense of around $100. For context, I have an RTX 3080 and a Ryzen 7 5700X, which can draw quite a bit of power.

If your area has regular power outages, it's definitely wise to invest in a UPS just to play it safe. Data loss or corruption on your drives could be more damaging than the impact on your hardware itself.
Frequent power outages can strain your power supply, and the most vulnerable parts are typically your data and storage drives, especially mechanical ones. Computers aren’t built to handle sudden power losses, which can lead to data corruption.

Would a voltage protector cover that risk?
