I just switched to Linux a few days ago, and I'm unsure whether I need antivirus software. Some people say I don't need it, but I want to be certain that my system is secure. What antivirus options do you recommend?

Honestly, I haven't used an antivirus on my Linux system in years. The security model of Linux is different from Windows, and there are just a lot fewer viruses. As long as you're using the package manager to install software, you're pretty safe!

Thanks for the reassurance! I feel better about my choices now.

Most Linux users actually don't use antivirus. The software you download is usually well trusted or open source, which minimizes the risk of viruses. Just be cautious about what you download and stick to reputable sources!
